Top won't close

Bird sat in garage for 10 days with 3 year old top down - now it won't close. Seems too tight. Did it shrink?

Thinking of dampening it and trying again. Ideas?

Dampened the top, waited about 30 mins in the shade and it went into place okay. Guess it shrunk.
