Hi all,

I am pleased to find this site! I am a Ford - Guy I guess: :D I have a 1990 Ford Bronco with the 351W (see it at http://www.muddtanks.com), and have fixed it, wrecked it, and fixed it again - so I guess I qualify.

Being that my trusty cheap beater daily driver (an 88 Ford Escort GT) lost it's timing belt because I was too stupid to change it  I have to go looking for another daily driver

I found yesterday a nice 1988 Tbird 2door coupe, with the 5.0 EFI engine. The best part is it was 'Grannys' car and it has only 65500 miles on it.... :) The interior is the plush velvet front dual buckets and in 90% choice condition. It has the cheesy steel spoke 'hubcaps' which will go away real fast (ebay probably).

The test drive was real good. The engine is quiet as can be, the tranny shifts real good (my Bronco E4OD tranny is tricked out and I am pretty sure this one feels right). So I am picking this vehicle up Monday and I hope I have a winner.

Enough from me - almost: A few things I noticed on this car was that when you initially put it in drive or reverse with the brakes on, the engine RPM shudders down low (500-550 rpm), but recovers ASAP and is fine after that. The 'Service" indicator came on but went off after about 10 mins (dejavu). And the Temp gauge never moved up at all

If anyone has any comments, hints, warnings or advice on this car please reply. I take advice well. 65K miles - wow....

Thanks all.

Welcome Tbird88r! Sorry, I can't help you though.

My brother in law has a computer you hook up that takes live readings of the car, this is what would need to be done. Also try http://www.flatratetech.com forums.
