I would like to replace the stock rear view mirror on my 2002 T-Bird with one that has a Homelink transmitter built in.

Has any body done this? If so which after market mirror did you use and what was involved. I am not sure just how to remove the original mirror.

Most of the aftermarket mirrors have disclaimers that say for example-

"Note: Due to their wiring design, Gentex Mirrors are not designed for use on convertibles"
