I have taken pictures underneath the hood of my 64 tbird of parts and hoses I am unsure of - or unsure of their purpose. Any help is most appreciate in purposes/and or identification. I am trying to get it as efficient as I can.

Most are captioned and circled. Wondering about the turn signal indicator though, they have it run outside of the unit and ground to a frame screw - how do I access the turn signal indicators. On my 66 I think it was just a plate that came off and you use a LONG extension and got them off. However, on this 64 it seems different.

Looks like someone has done some creative engineering on your car. Regarding the turn signal indicators, I think your best bet might be to replace the indicators themselves, as the lens is obviously gone and who knows what they did to the sockets. You can buy them new. To replace them, I hate to say, you reach in from the bottom with about 4 feet of extension. Since you only want to do this once, I would run a ground wire, from the indicator, through the access hole, to a screw as shown -- but of course UNDER the fender and hood. The mounting bolts ground the indicator housing, but it's a common problem for the lamp to quit working because of a bad ground. This is probably why it was messed with in the first place, but the guy didn't care about being neat.
