2003 Traction Control and ABS Warning Lights on - Code C1145

My 2003 had the Traction Control and ABS warning lights come on. Scanning codes showed C1145: Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor Input Circuit Failure. Rock Auto lists two types of wheel speed sensor, a snap on type and a bolt on type. I ordered:

• MOTORCRAFT BRAB129 {#3W4Z2C204AA} Front; Snap On Type.

Should have taken the wheel off and looked at the existing part. Turns out I needed the other one:

• MOTORCRAFT BRAB465 {#5W3Z2C204AA, BRAB167} Front; Bolt On Type.

Replacing the part wasn't difficult. It took 20 minutes, including looking for the correct tool. You need a Torx T27 bit to remove and install the bolt. Code is gone, problem seems to be solved. Cost was CAD $107 including shipping.

It seems so. There is no picture so it’s hard to be certain but the part number is the same.
