2003 Overhead Roof Console Conversion

Was looking for some parts online and noticed that there is an overhead roof console with cabin lighting for 02-05 tbirds. My 03 has cabin lights beneath rearview mirror and my overhead roof console is blank black plastic trim. Is a conversion compatible/is there available wiring for the conversion? I have attached both my current console and the newer one.

If the wiring harness is not already there, I'd say you are not going to be able to do this.

Top picture looks like stock interior windshield fascia on my 2005, bottom picture resembles front hardtop molding that spans L-R from driver to passenger window glass that sun visors fit against. Only lights, no console space, and switches anywhere in windshield trim. Two totally different parts and applications imho.

I'm thinking that the wiring harness going to the rear view mirror should do the trick. I've been thinking of doing this on my '02 myself, just didn't get to it yet. If you go forward with it, please, keep me updated.

I have that same black fascia molding on my '02. Same location and purpose as the other part. If look closely, the ends are the exact same shape on both parts. Haven't done the swap but I think one can replace the other. Electrical connections will be the challenge.
