A few weeks ago, wouldn’t crank at times. On 2nd or 3rd attempt would start. Push shifter into Park, pressed brake and started. Now will not crank. Ideas please!

Thank you, very much but, I do not see the relationship between “rough idle after hot restart” and the five items you listed. The problem was described by others in detail. If the engine is hot or cold it will start and the idle will be normal, but if it was hot, and allowed to cool for between 10 minutes to 30 minutes, the idle will be very rough. It seemed to me that a number of people were told to do a variety of things that cost them a lot of money and all they got were more suggestions that did not correct the problem. I felt compelled to offer a solution that worked for me and cost nothing. I deliberately waited about 20 to 30 minutes after running it to see if the problem would reoccur. I did this approximately 20 times over a week. I could not make the problem repeat. I could be wrong, but I also think that the transmission now shifts smoother. It did however forget the position of the steering wheel. But that’s no big deal. Again, thank you for your concern and your help.
I promise I will get some instructions on how to post on sites. Maybe I will be back after that.

If you know something, then it is usually easy.

Mike
