1964 Steering is stiff after making turns

Steering problem. My 64 drives good until you want to make a turn, then it goes hard to the direction you are turning to, you have to jerk it back.

It sounds like your Power Steering pump is not working properly. Have you checked the fluid level? Is it the original 1964 fluid? (Has it ever been flushed or changed??
