Thanks for sending! The parts that I'm struggling with however are the small pieces that go from the actual latch that you have pictured and connect to the lock. I have a 1964 Thunderbird that was missing some parts in the trunk lock mechanism. I can’t find any pictures of how it goes together, if somebody has a 64 to 66 and could take a picture of the inside that would be very helpful. Thank you

I have a 65 and had the same problem. I removed the back seat, driver side, and slid a 4 foot rebar 3/8 inch socket extension and removed the two bolts holding the trunk closed. Also, the spare tire was missing. Problem solved.
How?I tried the socket thing but because the spare tire was in the way I could not manage to get around it. I did manage to remove trunk latch bolts. The fun we have with our cars. LOL
