1955 Thunderbird Bumper Question

I have a spare bumper for a 1955 Thunderbird. I'm told it's a front bumper, then I'm told it's a rear bumper, then I'm told it can be used for either the front or rear. Can someone let me know if it can be used for front or rear. Thanks JoAnn

They are different for sure. the front bumper has bolt holes closer to the center than the back bumper, they look very similar, but are surely different.
