Anybody out there moved the electric seats back to accomodate taller drivers? I have a 1963 hardtop and have the need for more leg room even with the seat all the way back. I’m only 6’1” but my son is almost 6’5” tall (a SC Tight End) and he will be a driver on occasion. Does anyone know the correct range of adjustment in inches that the electricity seats are supposed to move fore and aft? Naturally we took the seats completely out and forgot to measure this. If anyone could put a measuring tape on a properly working seat and tell me how far it moves back and forth that would help greatly. My wife is short so I still would want the seat to come well forward in the rare case she had to drive it like in an emergency....

Thanks guys!

The seat base has multiple holes to allow the seat to be positioned back and forward, the bolts as I seem to recall are positioned usually about center. By positioning the holes to the front on the bolts you can gain that much more room perhaps as much as 4 or 5 inches at most. It has been a long time since I have done this so I am going from memory, of course this cuts down on rear leg room.

Pretty sure that the 63 and 64 seats are similar in the amount of travel room available.

Good luck!
