I came out to a flat tire on my 1957 which turned out to be a worn through wire wheel liner. I'm dead in the water until I can replace it. Can anyone help me with where I can get some liners for 14 inch wheels. I can't find them locally and need to get my car inspected by the end of September. Also, I hate wasting this nice driving time of year. Thanks, Vern

I just went through this a few months ago with my new tires installed on my wire wheels you don't need a dedicated wheel liner first you have to find a reputable tire dealer installer who is experience with wire wheels they should be able to help you out, on what to use for a liner what we used was just a 10 mil thick wide PVC tape there are thicker tapes out there but that's what he like that's what he used and I have no problems

Thank you! I'll see if the local Lowe's has the thick PVC tape. Vern

I found exactly what I needed at Lowe's and my tire is now all done. Thanks a ton Bill's 57!! Vern

Hello, I had a flat and was recommended to visit a wheel specialist shop in Walnut Creek, CA. Name of shop is Rite Way Wheels. They reconditioned my rusted K-H wheel and put liners in, new tube, good as new. Very satisfied.
