1956 Bird gas gauge always says full

gas indicator did not work so I replaced the sending unit in the tank. Now it always registers full. Any thoughts? Thanks

I would take the sending unit out of the gas tank and move the arm up and down to see what the Gage does. Are you sure you have the correct sending unit?

Found the solution from the FB group. Doug is right, the sending unit arm needed to be slightly bent up. Thanks all
