Mother had the car out at the grocery. Two men came up
looking the car over. One was a mechanic who had worked
on T-Birds and vettes over the years. Anyway they were
commenting on the car -- When one said it
takes a small dainty women to look good driving a small
sporty car.

Said guess it was a complement, but thought about all the
talk shows (Oprah) recently with topics on "weight challenged"
people and how they come across to others. Oprah has
a blue one and has been known to get pretty hefty herself.

I thought it was interesting that these two men liked the
car, remembered the first ones, but see this one leaning
toward women and needs to be small women at that.
Will say one thing this car has done in the last year has
brought out a variety of comments.

Guys that feel it's a lady's car simply haven't driven one yet. Besides, if they feel they need a car to enhance their masculinity, they should get a Corvette with the real long hood.

I'm a 48 year old guy, and driving the car sure feels good to me.:D :)

You have to admit that comments you receive about some
car and peoples thoughts are funny. I've never understood
the "long Hood" and a vette. If you would see some of the
people in our club they could have a " hood" that wrapped
the block and it would do them no good. Still remember the
1st night that went to a meeting. I really thought was in
the wrong room, this can't be the vette club. Marketing
just has you geared for a whole different concept.

We considered the new vette when we boutht the t-bird, guess who has the most leg room....the t-bird! And a smoother ride. My husband has all but taken over the car and I drive "his" Tahoe:rolleyes:
