Hello,

because my low pressure stop light switch is the third broken one after a few miles I decided to install a mechanical one, this part:
http://www.macsautoparts.com/ford_thunderbird/mechanical-brake-light-switch-universal-1955-57.html

Yesterday I got it. Any suggestions where to install it exactly?

I found THIS on youtube:
and he used this part (which is out of stock): https://www.napaonline.com/napa/en/p/ECHSL128/

They look the same BUT if you compare the switches they are mirror built. They are identical in use (are always ON) but I cannot install it like it is shown in the video
because the part I have here in my hands is a built in mirror of the part used in the video, so
I guess I just need to install it on the right side of the brake lever ... but where exactly ? Any suggestions appreciated :)

I don't understand why you would keep breaking the original style switches. Is there something that is hitting the switch?

Anyway. You will probably have to fabricate something to mount the switch. Did you try contacting someone from where you purchased the switch? Another thing to try is one of the restoration / parts houses that work on the little birds. I have found Hill's Thunderbird Center (technical department) to be very helpful when I have asked them questions.
