1955 remote battery disconnect installation

Since they recommend removing the negative battery terminal on a negatively grounded car, I would assume you’d want to put the battery disconnect on the positive battery terminal on your 6 V positively grounded car. BTW, your clock will stop.
 
These disconnect terminals with a green knob are easy to find and use. Fyi, the second and third photos are both fron Negative ground vehicles.

I would think that whatever the grounding system is, It's best to disconnect the ground as then there would be no current in any of the system that could potentially short when tinkering. Basic DC current control.
